Teresa Giudice's prison life is officially headed down a familiar path ... because a N.J. judge ordered the reality TV star to serve her time behind the bars made famous by "Orange Is The New Black."

After her request to spend 12 of her 15 months at a halfway house was denied ... Teresa got the news Wednesday that she'll be headed to the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, CT.

Strangely enough, on "OITNB" ... lead character Piper Chapman is similarly sentenced to 15 months at Danbury ... for money laundering.

Teresa's been begging the judge for weeks not to send her to Danbury ... which the show depicts as being one of the worst prisons in the U.S.

Don't drop the soap, Teresa.......

Joan Rivers Cause of Death May Remain Mystery Because NO AUTOPSY, We may never know exactly what killed Joan Rivers ... because a decision was made NOT to do an autopsy, She has learned.

Sources connected to the NYC Medical Examiner tell us ... Melissa Rivers was despondent when Joan died and told doctors she did not want an autopsy performed.  According to New York law, doctors will honor such a request if there's no evidence of criminality associated with the death.

The Medical Examiner has concluded the cause of death was deprivation of oxygen which caused irreversible brain damage. We're told they determined the "predictable" complication involved the procedure itself and not Propofol.

Here's the problem ... we're told without an autopsy it's impossible to pinpoint the nature of the problem. As one source said, an autopsy might reveal a puncture in the throat or other trauma. 

The only way Joan's family might get a definitive answer is if a doctor or nurse owns up to a possible mistake ... and even then it's just someone's word.

So the precise cause of Joan's death may forever stay a mystery.

Bruce has hooked up with Ronda Kamihira ... a divorced, 51-year-old mother of 2.  We're told Kris is "extremely upset" that Bruce is dating Ronda, and -- as one source puts it -- "It really stings because Ronda never told Kris she started seeing Bruce." And get this ... for years Ronda and the Jenners have been neighbors in Hidden Hills, CA, even spending holidays at each other's homes.

The daughters on both sides have become friends.  Ronda's daughter, Spencer, took this pic with Kendall and posted it on her Twitter page. A Jenner source tells us the talk within family was that Ronda was weirdly becoming "Kris' single white female." The source says Ronda mimicked Kris right down to her hair.
