A difficult week for Miley Cyrus has ended on a positive note.

Days after Tweeting that her beloved dog Floyd has died, the singer showed off a new canine to the world today via Instagram, posting the photo of a pooch named Moonie.

He was a gift.

 "my mama knew my heart was broken & this morning I woke up to Moonie kisses," Cyrus wrote as a caption to the photo above (left), adding:

"No one could ever replace my baby Floyd but this precious angel is lendin me some fur to cry on along with my other babies."

Kristen Stewart's hair. The 23-year-old dyed her brown locks bright orange for her role in the upcoming movie American Ultra, with The Maison de Cheveux in New Orleans doing the coloring job and posting a photo of Stewart on Instagram.

Frankie Knuckles. 'Godfather of House Music'. Dead at 59

Frankie Knuckles, known in the music biz as the "Godfather of House Music," passed away suddenly on Monday. He was 59.

According to some reports, Knuckles (real name Francis Nicholls) died of complications stemming from Type II Diabetes.

Knuckles was inducted into the Dance Music Hall of Fame in 2005 and had a day named after him in Chicago, where he primarily worked in the 1980s.

Knuckes won a Grammy in 1997 for Remixer of the Year, Non-Classical.
