No good deed goes unpunished ... a lesson learned the hard way Wednesday after Siva Kaneswaran and Jay McGuiness from The Wanted were attacked by a homeless guy with a knife -- after they tried to give him money.

Sources tell TMZ, the guys were in Denver on tour earlier this week and went to see the new Johnny Depp movie "Transcendence" before their concert. We're told they were leaving the theater when they passed a homeless guy asking for money.

Our sources say Siva obliged and gave the guy a few bucks, but he demanded more. We're told the guys turned him down -- but the homeless guy wouldn't take no for an answer ... and PULLED OUT A KNIFE.

We're told the guys scuffled with the homeless man and eventually got away. Our sources say neither guy was injured and cops were not called.

And this is what happens when you go see "Transcendence."

Christine, I tried to reply to you but yahoo would not have it. The reason Kim is in every single article is because she pays yahoos bills. She has no redeeming qualities about her. There were times when I'd just leave MTV on while doing things around the house simply so I could listen to the music or watch a music video if a favorite came on. The combination of MTV not playing music videos anymore  at least when I surfed by they weren't  and the type of music changing not to my taste has made MTV pretty irrelevant to me for a long time. I removed it from my "favorite" channels list so long ago, I don't even know what channel it is anymore. I was just a little kid when MTV came on the scene. Watched it growing up. Haven't seen it since I was an adult and they stopped playing videos. At least VHI does '80's stuff early in the morning. I only know about that thanks to getting up to feed babies in the middle of the night, lol. Wish they were all music all the time. Even the MTV Dance Party stuff with Downtown Julie Brown was better than the they're shoveling now! The MTV awards are a joke nowadays. oldpersonrant.

Days after Tweeting that her beloved dog Floyd has died, the singer showed off a new canine to the world today via Instagram, posting the photo of a pooch named Moonie.

He was a gift.

 "my mama knew my heart was broken & this morning I woke up to Moonie kisses," Cyrus wrote as a caption to the photo above (left), adding:

"No one could ever replace my baby Floyd but this precious angel is lendin me some fur to cry on along with my other babies."
