Elton John is set to make his first performance at the Primetime Emmy Awards. The British super star will play tribute to another legendary musician, Liberace, whose biopic "Behind the Candelabra" is nominated in 15 categories at the event.
The "Candle in the Wind " singer will sing while Matt Damon and Michael Douglas present at the event. Both actors are up for Leading Actor in a Made-for-TV Movie/Miniseries award for their roles in the HBO movie.
"We have a great performance by Sir Elton John," host Neil Patrick Harris gushes about John's upcoming performance. "He's a friend and also super-talented. His new album is coming out and is amazing, so I'm looking forward to that."

Comic duo Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will once again team up for an awards show, but not as hosts. The comediennes, who earned praises for their Golden Globe hosting stint, are going to present together at the 65th annual Primetime Emmy Awards.
The presenter list, which has included Matt Damon and Michael Douglas, is getting longer with the addition of "Scandal" star Kerry Washington, who will be paired with four-time Emmy nominee Diahann Carroll. Anna Faris and Allison Janney will additionally team up as presenters.

Michael Douglas and Matt Damon are slated to reunite onstage of the forthcoming Primetime Emmy Awards. The actors, who play a couple in HBO's "Behind the Candelabra", are set to present an award at the 65th annual prize-giving event.

Both Douglas and Damon are vying for Leading Actor in a Made-for-TV Movie/Miniseries award, thanks to their roles as Liberace and his lover Scott Thorson respectively in the HBO movie. The biopic garners 13 other nominations, bringing its total nods to 15 at the 2013 Emmy Awards.
